California hiking trails - Baldy Trail, Marin County

A long trip divides Santa Rosa-Petaluma from Baldy Trail, but if you're looking for a tremendous place to go backcountry hiking, this is a tremendous pick. This is a region covered with lots of hiking trails. Baldy Trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your hike. Here in California backcountry backpacking is a perfect idea.
    Hiking and backpacking trails are wonderful and plentiful in California, and among these are Baldy Trail in Marin County. Baldy Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,147 feet which is an average number. Baldy Trail is 11.6 miles long; it's a long hiking and backpacking trail.
Spending too much time indoors got you down? No problem, Baldy Trail in Marin County, California is just the place. Throughout the summer at Baldy Trail highs are typically in the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 40's. For the period of the wintertime this location gets highs in the 50's; overnight lows in the 30's for Baldy Trail. Of course, this is an overnight backcountry walk, 1.5 days normally, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. This great outdoors trail has only one trailhead, so you're looking at an in and out  
trek. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Baldy Trail commonly gets a great deal of precipitation; most of the rain falls through January, and July is the month with the least moisture. Now this backcountry hiking trail is pretty long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Sometimes this backcountry hiking trail gets really dry, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Baldy Trail is a backpacking and hiking trail of great length having an average number of uphill miles which makes this a very tough hiking trail for advanced backcountry walkers looking for an excellent challenge.

Briefly about the general area:
Put some time aside to spend at Alamere Falls since you're here at Baldy Trail. There's so much to do here at Baldy Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Olema Ranch Campgrounds is a pleasant location for that. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff near Baldy Trail. Taking a little visit to close by Millers Point is a great idea; Alamere Creek is in close proximity to Baldy Trail and is always a delight to have a look at.
Divide Meadow is a nice location to check out; you can stay the night at Glen Campground. If you haven’t been to Point Reyes National Seashore, you have to schedule some time for it while you're here, and on a beautiful day you can explore Wildcat Beach. Coast Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth going to; a day at gorgeous Kelham Beach next to Baldy Trail is a magnificent thing to do.
Near Baldy Trail you locate Bear Valley which is a good place to check out; Bear Valley Dam has pleasant water scenery. A journey to Muddy Hollow revitalizes the spirit.
