Briefly about the general area: A pleasant tour to Big Valley is a great way to spend an afternoon, and unsurprisingly
Big Granite Creek flows through this vicinity. So many fun things to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada, too nice to be true. A short tour to Tadpole Spring is always worthwhile, and let's not forget Tadpole Creek which is a stream that you may encounter while here. If
you're here, you might as well stop at Big Valley Canyon, and American River Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Secret House Campground is a great local campground. And if that's not sufficient, there's heaps more to do near American River Trail. A tour to American
River Trail wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Skunk Spring. There's so much to do here at American River Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Tadpole Campground is a nice site for that. All year is a nice time in the Northern Sierra Nevada if you have a
thing about the outdoors. There's whitewater on Yuba River - South Fork for all you adrenaline kick people, and during your spree here you'll meet some folks from Truckee-Grass Valley for sure. Ford Point is in close proximity and always great to go to; Pelham Flat is a picturesque site any time of year.
