There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can backcountry trek it just one way. Even though this is not a very long backcountry hiking trail you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. Sometimes this backcountry hiking trail gets really dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. This backcountry trail goes through some very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. This hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 1,847 feet which is an average number. The time needed for this backcountry trek is roughly 4 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Being 4.6 miles long it's a mid length walk.
