time of the year at Alamar Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 90's, and the night is quite cooler of course, ordinarily in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 60's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Alamar Trail temperatures descend to the 30's. Here in California trekking is a wonderful idea. There are so many wilderness hiking trails in this neighborhood. Backpacking in California is such a nice thing to do. Alamar Trail is a location that is pretty dried up usually; February is when you get the most rain  
here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. This backcountry trek should take you about 1.5 days, so it's a magnificent thing if your backpack is big enough to do the job. Different parts of this backcountry hiking trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. This great outdoors trail sometimes gets very dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. These great outdoors trails here in the Sierra Madre are a really magnificent way to spend quality time in the great outdoors. Being 11.4 miles long; it's considered a longer backcountry walk. Alamar Trail is many miles long with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this wilderness hiking trail glorious for hard core backpackers looking for adventure.

Briefly about the general area:
If you came to camp Bear Campground is a fine site to do that, and don't leave Alamar Trail without first paying a visit to Choke Cherry Spring. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a magnificent time here at Alamar Trail.
Nearby Puerta Suela is a brilliant place to go if you're at Alamar Trail; Santa Barbara Potrero is a wonderful place any time of year. Be careful coming to the Sierra Madre, you might not ever want to return back home again. Logan Potrero is a great place to check out, and camping at Bill Farris Campground is always a good experience. A tour to Chokecherry Spring will fill your spirit with perfect feelings, and there are plenty of people from Santa Barbara-Santa Maria-Goleta here at Alamar Trail.
