West Holcomb Trail is situated a quite long drive from Payson, but you always have an excellent time when you're backcountry hiking along it. You spend the whole trek in roughly the same elevation zone which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. There are not too many hiking trails in this vicinity. Backcountry trails like this one here in the Mogollon Rim Mountains are a very splendid way to see these highlands. |

an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a glorious hiking trail for the average person looking for a glorious adventure. With its 3.8 miles of walking distance it's a short trail. Every single Arizona hiking and backpacking trail is striking in its own way. Finally,
backcountry hiking time is here again, and West Holcomb Trail in Navajo County, Arizona is an excellent place for getting out. There are many good hiking and backpacking trails in Arizona, and West Holcomb Trail in Navajo County is one of them. Please follow all local rules about
fires and camping. West Holcomb Trail gets very little precipitation; the wettest month of the year is mostly July, that's the one that rains the most, and June is when it's the driest. This backcountry trek shouldn't take more than 3.5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit
slower and some a bit faster.

a great spot for that. West Holcomb Trail is good enough to spend more than a day at, Wildhorse Lake Campground is a good local campground, and swing by Middle Fork Bull Flat Canyon it's a magnificent site to take a look at.
