forest authorities before you head out. This trail has a total elevation difference of 4,722 feet which is a higher than average number. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. Tonto Trail goes through some very different elevations, so keep
in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. This trail has two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can hike it just one way.
Briefly about the general area: A journey to Crystal Rapids will fill your spirit with splendid
feelings; nearby you stumble on Agate Canyon which is a brilliant place to have a look at. The trees of Kaibab National Forest are a great source of shade on hot summer days, and Hermit Basin is right here at Tonto Trail. A nice place to camp here at Tonto Trail is Trailer
Village; since you're here, do take a journey to Point Sublime. Put some time aside to spend at Boucher Rapids while you're here at Tonto Trail, and Tonto Trail is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Visitor Center Campground is a glorious local campground. Life's too
short to enjoy all the cool stuff right next door to Tonto Trail. Why not stop by close by Boucher Creek while you're here at Tonto Trail, and a visit to Grand Canyon National Park is recommended. Crystal Creek is a pretty stream that is worth going to, and everybody loves Hindu Amphitheater.
