    driest of the months is June. Arizona has plenty of great wilderness hiking trails, and Sycamore Basin Trail in Yavapai County is one of them. Sycamore Basin Trail has only one trailhead, so you're looking at an in and out backcountry trek. Of course, this is an overnight backcountry
walk, 3.5 days normally, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. This vicinity does get very dry sometimes, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. At this river you will never have a bad time. In case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Oak Creek; don't leave Sycamore Basin Trail without first paying a visit to Sand Seeps.
