South Kaibab Trail is 11.4 miles long; it's considered a longer hike. Through the warmest time of the year at South Kaibab Trail temperatures are mostly in the 70's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at South Kaibab Trail. Not much precipitation falls here at South Kaibab Trail; all through the month of January you get the most snow around here; the driest of the months is June.

A tour to Grand Canyon National Park is worthwhile, and Phantom Creek is in close proximity to South Kaibab Trail and is always a joy to check out. At South Kaibab Trail you always meet someone from Flagstaff; some close by water includes Bright Angel Creek. Indian Garden is a great location here at South Kaibab Trail; a great place to camp here at South Kaibab Trail is Suspension Bridge Campground.
The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Burro Spring; camping is available at Visitor Center Campground.
