Arizona hiking trails - South Kaibab Trail, Coconino County

   
  Here in the wonderful state of Arizona backcountry trekking is something that is always fun to do. There are so many wonderful backcountry hiking trails for backcountry trekking in Arizona, and South Kaibab Trail in Coconino County is one of them. With so many outdoors activities available in Arizona you'll never get bored. At South Kaibab Trail through the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. During the winter this spot gets highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at South Kaibab
    Trail. Keep in mind that this is a long hiking trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. When was the last time you got out in the outdoors a bit? if you happen to be in Coconino County of Arizona, South Kaibab Trail is a tremendous local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching.
Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Not much rain falls here at South Kaibab Trail; the month with most of the snow is January; June meanwhile is the driest month. Some parts of South Kaibab Trail are much higher up than other parts of the backpacking and hiking trail, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. This is a vicinity covered with lots of backpacking trails. The total elevation difference for South Kaibab Trail is 4,533 feet which is higher than average. With its 11.4 miles of walking distance;  
it's considered a longer walk. South Kaibab Trail is a backcountry hiking trail of good length having an average number of uphill miles which makes this a very tough backpacking trail for advanced backcountry walkers looking for an outstanding challenge. This area does get very dry sometimes, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Now, this is roughly a 1.5-day backcountry hike, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. Every backcountry hiking trail in Arizona has its own unique splendor. It's a long journey from Flagstaff to South Kaibab Trail, but trails like these are pleasant. This great outdoors trail has only one trailhead, so you'll be hiking it in and back out.

Briefly about the general area:
Camping at Suspension Bridge Campground is always a delightful experience. Bright Angel Creek is a pretty stream that is worth visiting, and you have to beyond doubt dedicate some time to Ottoman Amphitheater if you're here at South Kaibab Trail.
Burro Spring is always fun to check out, and a wonderful place to camp here at South Kaibab Trail is Visitor Center Campground. Grand Canyon National Park is a nice national park; The Box is another great location to visit nearby. Don’t forget to have a look at Indian Garden while you're here at South Kaibab Trail; a short trip to Pipe Spring is always worthwhile.
If only every location had this much outdoors amusing things, what a great planet it would be. Lots of folks from Flagstaff come to South Kaibab Trail, and why not a little side spree to Phantom Creek.
