Arizona hiking trails - Pine Mountain Trail, Mogollon Rim Mountains, Maricopa County

   
  Backcountry backpacking here in Arizona is something that is always fun to do. Hiking and backpacking trails for backpacking, and backpacking can be found all over Arizona, and among these are Pine Mountain Trail in Maricopa County. Pine Mountain Trail is a long tour away from Payson, but hiking it is good amusement any time. Pine Mountain Trail is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. This is one of many hiking trails in the surrounding area. There are numerous trails in Arizona, and each one is well worth a backcountry trek. And keep
    in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in location. Different parts of Pine Mountain Trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. This is a two-ended wilderness hiking trail with two trailheads,
so if you can get a ride from someone, you can backcountry trek it just one way. Being 8.6 miles long it's a mid length hike. Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in the outdoors a bit, and Pine Mountain Trail in Maricopa County, Arizona is an excellent selection. This trek shouldn't take more than 7.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. The total elevation difference for this wilderness hiking trail is 1,829 feet, and that is about average. All through the summer at Pine Mountain  
Trail highs are commonly in the 100's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 60's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Pine Mountain Trail sink into the 30's. A visit to Arizona is not complete without some backcountry trekking. Backcountry backpacking here in the Mogollon Rim Mountains is the best way to enjoy these peaks. Pine Mountain Trail gets very little rainfall; most of the rain falls throughout December, and the driest of the months is June. Pine Mountain Trail is a mid-length trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this a very tough hiking trail for advanced backcountry walkers looking for a wonderful challenge. At parts of the year this area sees very little rain, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out.

And if that's not enough there's lots more cool things to do in the Mogollon Rim Mountains. Don't leave Pine Mountain Trail without first paying a visit to Mountain Spring, and everybody loves Little Pine Flat.
You'll need more than a day to discover everything Pine Mountain Trail has to offer, you can camp at Jakes Corner RV Park, and you can run the rapids of Tonto Creek. Just can't get enough of the Mogollon Rim Mountains. A tour to Ballantine Canyon is always fun; Bull Basin is right here at Pine Mountain Trail. You don't have to go far from Pine Mountain Trail to enjoy Tonto National Forest; a trip to Coyote Spring will fill your spirit with magnificent feelings.
What a place this is for outdoors folks. There's so much to do here at Pine Mountain Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Tonto Creek Trail Adult RV Park is a brilliant site for that, and Verde River is a fine whitewater spot close by.
