Trail highs are commonly in the 100's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 60's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Pine Mountain Trail sink into the 30's. A visit to Arizona is not complete
without some backcountry trekking. Backcountry backpacking here in the Mogollon Rim Mountains is the best way to enjoy these peaks. Pine Mountain Trail gets very little rainfall; most of the rain falls throughout December, and the driest of the months is June. Pine Mountain Trail
is a mid-length trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this a very tough hiking trail for advanced backcountry walkers looking for a wonderful challenge. At parts of the year this area sees very little rain, so make sure you check current conditions and fire
restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out.

so much to do here at Pine Mountain Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Tonto Creek Trail Adult RV Park is a brilliant site for that, and Verde River is a fine whitewater spot close by.
