This backpacking and hiking trail has only one trailhead, so you're looking at an in and out hike. Pena Blanca Trail Number Forty-one has a total elevation difference of 381 feet which is lower than average. At parts of the year this region sees very little rain, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. This hiking trail is not that long but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. The time needed for this trek is roughly 2.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. There's not much difference in elevation along Pena Blanca Trail Number Forty-one which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. Being 3 miles long it's shorter than many wilderness hiking trails.
