Mooney Trail has two trailheads which means you have the option of backcountry hiking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. This is a great outdoors hiking trail that is quite long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. Being 12 miles long; it's considered a longer backcountry trek. Sometimes this great outdoors hiking trail gets really dry, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. This hike should take you about 1.5 days, so it's a tremendous thing if your backpack is big enough to do the job.
