vicinity sees very little rain, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Arizona has plenty of brilliant wilderness hiking trails; one of them being Long Canyon Trail in Yavapai County. Long Canyon Trail is a backcountry trail pretty far from Prescott, but you always have an excellent time when you're trekking along it. All through the months of summer highs here at Long Canyon Trail get into the 80's. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 50's, and night  
lows all through the winter for Long Canyon Trail tend to be in the 20's. This backpacking trail has a total elevation difference of 2,092 feet which is an average number. Long Canyon Trail is quite long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. This backcountry walk should take you about 2 days, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. Alright, enough of spending all this time inside a building, time to get out, and Long Canyon Trail in Yavapai County, Arizona is an excellent pick. An average amount of rain falls at Long Canyon Trail; the month with most of the rain is March while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping.

Don't leave Long Canyon Trail without first paying a visit to Soda Spring; Long Canyon is another delightful location to go to close by. Beaver Creek is a perfect whitewater spot next to Long Canyon Trail; you can stay the night at Beaver Creek Campground.
Don't miss out on a visit to Montezuma Castle National Monument while you're here at Long Canyon Trail; Roundup Basin is a glorious place here at Long Canyon Trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Long Canyon Trail has to offer, you can camp at Clear Creek Campground, and Lander Spring is an inspiring place to go to while you're here.
