Being 3.4 miles long it's shorter than many great outdoors trails. This is a one trailhead backpacking and hiking trail, so you'll be trekking it in and back out. At parts of the year this area sees very little rain, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. The time needed for this trek is roughly 3 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. The total elevation difference for King Canyon Trail is 659 feet which is lower than average. This is not a very long great outdoors hiking trail but it's always perfect to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen.
