Arizona hiking trails - King Canyon Trail, Pima County

   
  This part of Arizona is always a pleasure to pop by during trekking season. King Canyon Trail is a long trip away from Tucson, but great outdoors trails like these are tremendous. Going for a walk here in Arizona is the splendid thing to do. There is only one trailhead, so you're looking at an in and out backcountry walk. Being 3.4 miles long it's a short great outdoors trail. Sometimes this hiking trail gets really dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. The warmest time of the year
    at King Canyon Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 100's. All through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 70's. The winter brings highs down to the 60's; nighttime lows during the winter for King Canyon Trail tend to be in the 30's. Every Arizona hiking and backpacking
trail is scenic in its own way. There are so many trails in this vicinity. King Canyon Trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your backcountry hike. King Canyon Trail is on the short side with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it an outstanding trail for the average person looking for an outstanding adventure. You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while, and King Canyon Trail in Pima County, Arizona is the fresh air at its best. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in site.

Camping is available at Justin's water world. King Canyon is near King Canyon Trail and is a pleasant site, and a trip to Saguaro National Park is worthwhile.
This is a popular site for folks from Tucson; camping at Palo Verde Picnic Area and Campground is always a great experience.
