Backcountry backpacking in Arizona is such a tremendous thing to do. A long drive divides St. George from Honeymoon Trail, but many folks like to backcountry hike here to be next to nature. wilderness trail. The number of backcountry hiking trails in this neighborhood is not very high. Even though this is not a very long wilderness trail you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. This is a two-ended backcountry trail with two trailheads,
| | so hiking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. If you happen to be in Arizona, why not go backpacking, it is always an amusing thing to do. It is very dehydrated here at Honeymoon Trail generally; most of the rain falls throughout March, and the driest month of the year is June. little rain, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. The total elevation difference for Honeymoon Trail is 217 feet which is lower than average. There's not much difference in elevation along the wilderness trail, so you get pretty much the same
conditions along the whole wilderness trail. Summertime highs at Honeymoon Trail usually tend to be in the 100's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. Throughout the wintertime highs are commonly in the 50's while Honeymoon Trail night low temperatures through the wintertime
are in the 20's. There are many delightful backpacking trails in Arizona, and Honeymoon Trail in Mohave County is one of them.
Briefly about the general area: Camping at Honeymoon Trail is tremendous fun, Willowind RV is a tremendous local campground, and why not a little
side journey to Short Creek. This is a great river. Honeymoon Trail is a great place to camp, Silver Springs RV Resort is a great place, and the friendly people of St. George like to hang out close by. Honeymoon Trail is right next door to Cottonwood Wash which is without doubt worth visiting; hey, Short Creek is a brilliant local stream.
