  Every Arizona wilderness hiking trail has its own unique loveliness. Backpacking here in Arizona is the good thing to do. Alright, enough of spending all this time inside a building, time to get out, and Deadwood Trail in Yavapai County, Arizona is a perfect place for getting out. Deadwood Trail has a total elevation difference of 2,150 feet which is an average number. With so many outdoors things to do available in Arizona you'll never get bored. This is one of many hiking trails in the surrounding vicinity. Some parts of this wilderness hiking trail
    are much higher up than other parts of the wilderness hiking trail, and that means that some parts of the wilderness hiking trail could be very different from other parts of it. Deadwood Trail is situated a quite lengthy journey from Prescott, but when you spend some time hiking
here you will feel like a whole new person. The yearly rain here at Deadwood Trail is about average; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is June. Deadwood Trail is a very long backpacking and hiking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes it a glorious hiking trail for experienced trekkers in nice shape. Deadwood Trail is a two ended backpacking trail with two trailheads, so backcountry backpacking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. This is a backcountry hiking trail that  
is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Being 15.8 miles long; it's longer than many wilderness hiking trails. Now, this is roughly a 2-day backcountry trek, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. For the period of the summer, highs regularly are in the 80's at Deadwood Trail; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's; night lows during the winter for Deadwood Trail tend to be in the 20's. There are wilderness hiking trails all over Arizona, and Deadwood Trail in Yavapai County is one of them. This area does get very dry sometimes, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go.

Briefly about the general area:
Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. A nice site near Deadwood Trail is Long Canyon, and you can stay the night at Clear Creek Campground. Roundup Basin is a good place; a trip to Montezuma Castle National Monument is worthwhile.
Take a side visit to Spring Creek, and paddling on Wet Beaver Creek is so much fun. Beaver Creek Campground is a pleasant campground here, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Soda Spring.
Glide down the rapids of Beaver Creek in a kayak, and Lander Spring is an inspiring place to check out while here. Walker Creek is a striking stream that is worth visiting; Walker Basin is a magnificent spot to check out.
