very in the neighborhood of Prescott at all, but if you're looking for a perfect place to go hiking, this is a perfect selection. Deadwood Trail has a total elevation difference of 2,150 feet which is about average. Deadwood Trail is 15.8 miles long; it's longer than many hiking
and backpacking trails.
Briefly about the general area: Visit Walker Creek since you're here at Deadwood Trail; do put some time aside to spend at Lander Spring if you're here at Deadwood Trail. Take a side journey to Spring Creek; camping at Clear Creek Campground is
always a great experience. Long Canyon is a delightful spot to check out in close proximity to Deadwood Trail, and Beaver Creek has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Soda Spring is always fun to check out, and a visit
to Montezuma Castle National Monument is recommended. Roundup Basin is a pleasant site; if you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Wet Beaver Creek. Deadwood Trail is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Beaver Creek Campground is a wonderful local campground; Walker Basin is a wonderful location to check out.
