Even though this is not a very long backpacking and hiking trail it's always good to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. Being 3.4 miles long it's a shorter type hike. The time needed for this backcountry hike is roughly 3 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. This wilderness hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 1,198 feet which is about average. There's not much difference in elevation along the hiking trail which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. This backpacking and hiking trail sometimes gets very dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire.
