Coon Spring Trail is a hiking and backpacking trail of tremendous length with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this trail brilliant for hard core backpackers looking for adventure.     Mountains are the best way to enjoy these mountaintops. It's a long trip from Payson to Coon Spring Trail, but It's always enjoyable to trek here. Now this great outdoors hiking trail is pretty long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Coon Spring Trail has two trailheads,
so if you can get a ride from someone, you can backcountry trek it just one way. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. The time needed for this trek is roughly 8.5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. The warmest time of the year at Coon Spring Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 100's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 50's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Coon Spring Trail. The total elevation difference for this  
backpacking and hiking trail is 2,692 feet, and that is higher than average. This backcountry trail goes through some very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. At parts of the year this area sees very little rain, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. If you happen to be in Arizona, why not go backpacking, it is the wonderful thing to do. At Coon Spring Trail you don’t see much rainfall; the month with most of the rain is December, and June on the other hand is the driest. This is one of a very small number of trails in this region. Backcountry hiking in Arizona is such a glorious thing to do. Coon Spring Trail is 9.4 miles long; it's longer than many backcountry trails.

If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Mogollon Rim Mountains. Don't forget to take a pleasant little trip to Oak Creek. This is a popular site for folks from Payson, and Coon Spring Trail is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Rose Creek Campground is a glorious local campground.
If time allows, Tonto National Monument is a national park worth going to, and it's a glorious idea to stop at South Fork Parker Creek. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Mogollon Rim Mountains. A tour to Coon Creek Spring will fill your spirit with wonderful feelings, and get your pulse rate up on the perfect whitewater of Salt River. Any time is a glorious time at Coon Spring Trail if you go for the outdoors. near Coon Spring Trail you'll hit upon a wooded vicinity called Sierra Ancha Experimental Forest, and a tremendous location to camp here at Coon Spring Trail is Roosevelt Partners.
Devils Chasm is a good spot to explore close by It's always perfect to visit Armor Corral Spring.
