You'll need to go far from Prescott to get to Cold Water Trail, but hiking it is always amusing.     for different conditions on different parts of the great outdoors hiking trail. While visiting this region in Arizona it's an outstanding idea to go backcountry backpacking too. This is a backpacking and hiking trail that is quite long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies.

This area does get very dry sometimes, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Cold Water Trail is a location that is quite dried up ordinarily; August is when you get the most rain here while June  
is the month with the least amount of precipitation. When you're here in Arizona backcountry trekking along one of its backpacking trails is a glorious way to spend some time. This walk should take you about 2 days, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. There are plenty of backpacking trails in Arizona; each one of them is lovely in its own way. This backcountry trail has a total elevation difference of 3,883 feet which is higher than average. Cold Water Trail is a very long wilderness hiking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes this a very tough backcountry trail for advanced hikers looking for a fine challenge. All through the summertime, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Cold Water Trail. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Cold Water Trail are in the 30's.

If you came to camp Zane Grey Recreational Vehicle Park is a tremendous location to do that; Cold Water Trail is close to Gospel Hollow which is positively worth stopping at. Visit Towel Creek if you're here at Cold Water Trail, and there's whitewater on Verde River for all you adrenaline junkies.
Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Verde River, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at High Spring. This place is excellent, just check out all the exciting things to do near Cold Water Trail. Rodeo Flat is a great spot to check out, and unsurprisingly Gap Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth stopping at. There's so much to do here at Cold Water Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Clear Creek Campground is a pleasant location for that, and Brush Spring is an inspiring spot to take a look at while you're here.
A delightful forest in the neighborhood of Cold Water Trail is The Cedars, and a visit to Pine Flat rejuvenates the spirit. Don't miss out on a trip to Montezuma Castle National Monument while you're here at Cold Water Trail.
