Arizona hiking trails - Cold Water Trail, Yavapai County

   
  There are so many brilliant great outdoors hiking trails for backpacking in Arizona, and one of these is Cold Water Trail in Yavapai County. It's a lengthy trip from Prescott to Cold Water Trail, but when you trek it you're always having a perfect time. When was the last time you got out in the wilderness a bit? Cold Water Trail in Yavapai County, Arizona is such a perfect location. Different parts of Cold Water Trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. At Cold Water Trail
    you don’t see much rain; August is the month that gets the most rain; June is when it's the driest. This is just one of a large number of backpacking trails in this vicinity. Cold Water Trail is quite long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. And keep in mind that there
could be temporary safety restrictions in location. Sometimes this great outdoors trail gets really dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Through the summertime highs here at Cold Water Trail reach the 80's, and the overnight is somewhat cooler of course, typically in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Cold Water Trail. Of course, this is an overnight walk, 2 days normally, so better have big backpack to  
fit all the stuff you need. Here in the brilliant state of Arizona backpacking is something that is always fun to do. This hiking and backpacking trail has only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to backcountry hike it normally. There are plenty of great outdoors hiking trails in Arizona; each one of them is worth backpacking. This backpacking and hiking trail is many miles long with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a nice backpacking trail for experienced backcountry walkers in wonderful shape. With its 13 miles of walking distance; it's considered a longer trek. While visiting this area in Arizona it's a tremendous idea to go backcountry backpacking too. The total elevation difference for this hiking and backpacking trail is 3,883 feet which is higher than average.

Briefly about the general area:
There's so much to do here at Cold Water Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Zane Grey Recreational Vehicle Park is a magnificent spot for that, and a short visit to Brush Spring is always worthwhile. In case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Verde River; you can stay the night at Clear Creek Campground.
This place is unbeatable, just look at all the fun things to do close to Cold Water Trail. Nearby Gospel Hollow is a perfect location to go if you're at Cold Water Trail, and Rodeo Flat is right here at Cold Water Trail. Why not stop at nearby Towel Creek if you're here at Cold Water Trail, and Pine Flat is a wonderful place here at Cold Water Trail. A tour to Cold Water Trail wouldn't be complete without taking a look at High Spring.
It's a glorious idea to stop by Gap Creek, it's next to Cold Water Trail, and Verde River is a perfect whitewater spot close by. There's a forest here at Cold Water Trail called The Cedars, and Montezuma Castle National Monument is a wonderful site close by.
