This backcountry hiking trail has only one trailhead, so you're looking at an in and out backcountry trek. Clear Creek Trail has a total elevation difference of 4,470 feet, and that is higher than average. This vicinity does get very dry sometimes, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Keep in mind that this is a long backcountry hiking trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. Clear Creek Trail is 33.2 miles long; it's longer than many trails. Of course, this is an overnight trek, 5 days normally, so it's a good thing if your backpack is big enough to do the job. Clear Creek Trail goes through some very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the trail.
