Arizona hiking trails - Clear Creek Trail, Coconino County

   
  This part of Arizona is always a joy to take a look at during backpacking season. Clear Creek Trail is a hiking trail rather far from Flagstaff, but backcountry hiking is such an enjoyable thing to do, and this is an excellent spot to do that. When you're here in Arizona backcountry hiking along one of its trails is the perfect thing to do. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. Of course, this is an overnight backcountry hike, 5 days normally, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. It is very dried
    out here at Clear Creek Trail generally; during January this area sees the most snow while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Arizona has plenty of perfect trails, and Clear Creek Trail in Coconino County is one of them. Some parts of this backcountry trail
are much higher up than other parts of the backcountry trail which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the backcountry trail. With its 33.2 miles of walking distance; it's considered a longer backcountry trek. Through the summer months at Clear Creek Trail temperatures are usually in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Clear Creek Trail. Clear Creek Trail is many miles long having an average  
number of uphill miles which makes it an outstanding trail for experienced trekkers in good shape. This hiking trail sometimes gets very dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. This is a hiking trail that is quite long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. Finally, backcountry hiking time is here again, and Clear Creek Trail in Coconino County, Arizona is an excellent spot to go. This is an area covered with lots of trails. Each one of the many trails of Arizona has its own unique attractiveness. Clear Creek Trail has a total elevation difference of 4,470 feet, and that is higher than average. This is a one trailhead wilderness trail, so you'll be backcountry trekking it in and back out.

Briefly about the general area:
If you come at the right time of year, Little Colorado River offers some glorious whitewater, and hey, Clear Creek is a glorious local stream. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Eightyfive Mile Rapids, and Clear Creek Trail is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Suspension Bridge Campground is a fine local campground.
Zoroaster Canyon is a tremendous site to take a look at close to Clear Creek Trail. A pleasant journey to Indian Garden is a splendid way to spend an afternoon; camping at Visitor Center Campground is always a splendid experience. While you're here at Clear Creek Trail it's a great idea to explore Ottoman Amphitheater, and don't forget to explore Marion Point while you're here.
But wait, there's more to do in close proximity to Clear Creek Trail. A tour to Eightythree Mile Rapids will fill your spirit with tremendous feelings, and a tour to Grand Canyon National Park is recommended. Looking for some flowing water? Try Cremation Creek, and Tusayan Ranger District is a great forest neighborhood close by.
