| | Here in the good state of Arizona backpacking is always an enjoyable thing to do. Gotta get out of the city man, and Boulder Trail in Maricopa County, Arizona is an outstanding selection. It's a long journey from Payson to Boulder Trail, but backcountry backpacking is such an enjoyable thing to do, and this is an outstanding place to do that. This hike should take you about 2 days, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. Nice great outdoors hiking trails in Arizona are in abundance, and Boulder Trail in Maricopa County is one of them. |

This area does get very dry sometimes, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. There's not much difference in elevation along Boulder Trail, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole trail. This

There is only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to backcountry walk it normally. With its 13.6 miles of walking distance; it's a long trail. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in site. Boulder Trail is a backcountry hiking trail of brilliant
length with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this a very tough backpacking trail for advanced trekkers looking for a splendid challenge. This is a backpacking and hiking trail that is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. There are plenty of great
outdoors hiking trails in Arizona; each one of them has its own character.
Briefly about the general area: You clearly should like Boulder Trail. Second Water Spring is a beautiful spot to explore while you're at Boulder Trail; everybody loves Garden Valley. A short
trip to White Rock Spring is always worthwhile, and why not camp at Carney Springs Campground while you're here at Boulder Trail. Marsh Valley is a brilliant spot, and unsurprisingly Mesquite Creek is a pretty stream that is worth visiting. Near Boulder Trail you come across
fine places like Needle Canyon, and get your pulse rate up on the tremendous whitewater of Salt River. Peralta Canyon Campground is a magnificent local campground; why not check out close by La Barge Creek since you're here at Boulder Trail.
