This backpacking trail has only one trailhead, so you're looking at an in and out backcountry trek. This backcountry trail sometimes gets very dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. Baldy Trail has a total elevation difference of 3,403 feet, and that is higher than average. This backcountry walk shouldn't take more than 7 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Different parts of this hiking and backpacking trail are at very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the hiking and backpacking trail. Baldy Trail is 8 miles long it's a mid length backcountry hike. This is a long backcountry trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies.
